You work with or are interested in learning technology. You love music. Yet somehow, you’ve never quite found a way to combine the two. Maybe, on top of that, you’ve got an idea for a radio show or a podcast, but are not quite sure how or where to start. Well, it’s your lucky day!
All these factors are converging with this year’s Association for Learning Technology conference (ALTc), held in person in Manchester and online throughout via The Thursday Night Show (TTNS) this September (3–5). You’ll have to hurry though, as the call for submissions closes at 12:00 (BST) on Monday 20th May. Yes, that’s tomorrow lunchtime, if you’re in the UK.
Following 2023’s trialling of adding a radio layer to the entire event, bringing a kind of ‘conference fringe’ to Warwick, TTNS returns to ALTc in 2024. We’ll have a full broadcast schedule running during the conference, simulcasting throughout the venue and live over the web. So, whether you can make it to Manchester or not, you’ll be able to get a full flavour of where learning technology is at and what it sounds like in 2024 from wherever you are in the world.
And, you can play a part in the mix, with our combination of live and pre-recorded sessions. You can submit an idea on the conference themes of ‘doing, reflecting, improving, collaborating’. If nothing fits there, make your radio idea a wildcard option. You’ll get help and support with bringing your idea to life if new to this or welcomed into the mix if you’re a more seasoned hand at working with audio.
Visit this link to submit an idea or listen to TTNS on Thursday nights to get a fuller flavour of how it sounds.
We’re all ears!
